HLDD (Hydro Lumbar disc decompression (HydroCision) Decompressor, Percutaneous discectomy

These procedures are suitable to treat the symptomatic small disc bulge or disc herniation in the lumbar and thoracic spine in percutaneous technique. By mechanical removal of tissue from the intervertebral disc nucleus reduces the intervertebral disc volume and thus the pressure in the intervertebral disc. There will be a relief of the nerve root and the fibrous ring of the disc, so the nerve can recover better. These treatments are among the group of minimally invasive techniques that are gently placed through the skin under modern imaging techniques and produce an effective reduction in tissue without scarring, bleeding or tissue irritation.

Experts call the process of disc surgery by means of water jet Hydrodiskektomie. The method provides a micro-invasive surgery no liability for the insertion of instruments, only a tiny incision in the skin is required. The surgery is painless and is an outpatient under local anesthesia. An extremely thin and nearly 1000 km / h faster water away from the needle as a scalpel to three grams of tissue.
The puncture site is only two to three millimeters in size. Cutting with a jet of water in manufacturing is a long established method and is now being developed for medicine. The procedure is combined with imaging techniques, especially with the current computed tomography. The surgeon can control the operation so that exactly from the outside. This makes it possible to zuauszuschliessen surgical risks such as scarring.
"Through the CT-control and the small size of the water jet can the disc with minimal access to treat accurately and painless!"
The patient could shortly after the out-patient treatment up again. Especially patients with small disc herniation and disc bulge could benefit from this procedure.
The success or failure of percutaneous procedures depends primarily on the correct indication, on the technical condition in the execution of the procedure, and especially from the experience of the treating physicians.
