Hip conditions:

  • Osteoarthritis (coxarthrosis)
The most common cause of pain and restricted movement of the hip. The wear of the hip joint is called coxarthrosis. It is the degradation of the cartilage substance of the hip joint surfaces. Due to the high mechanical load, the hip joint is particularly susceptible to wear and tear. Coxarthrosis affects men and women alike and in the same frequency. The disease usually progresses in batches: phases of active inflammation alternate with symptom-free phases. Increased joint destruction leads to pain, gradual stiffening, disability and a significant loss of quality of life. Various drug treatments can bring relief.
  • Bursitis (Trochanter Bursitis)
An extremely common problem underlying inflammation of the bursa beyond the outside of the hip joint.
  • Tendonitis
  • Osteonecrosis
If the blood supply to the bone is insufficient, bones may die as a result. One of the most common sites for osteonecrosis is the hip joint.
  • Back pain
Many back and spine problems can cause symptoms around the buttocks and hips. The most common pain problems you will find in the hip area are discs and sciatica herniated disc.
  • Tearing hip syndrome
  • Muscle strain
The strains of the muscles around the hips and pelvis can cause pain and spasm. The most common strains are the groin area and tend tendon strains.
  • Fractures
Mostly in elderly patients with concomitant osteoporosis. The treatment is surgical.
  • Stress fracture
Stress fractures of the hip are most common among athletes who participate in high-impact sports such as long distance runners.
  • Hip dysplasia
  • Congenital malalignment of the hip joints
