Ellbow conditions:

  • Tennis elbow "Epicondylitis Radialis"
Pain on the outside of the elbow. The most common cause of tennis elbow is overloading or overuse of the forearm muscles, which leads to the painful irritation of the tendon attachments of forearm muscles. Interestingly, most patients with lateral epicondylitis are not tennis players.
  • Golferarm "Epicondylitis Ulnaris"
Pain on the inside of the elbow. Similar to the tennis elbow, the causes are overloading or overuse of the forearm muscles. These lead to the painful irritation of the tendon attachments of forearm muscles. Again, most patients with this condition are not golfers.
  • Bursitis "Olecranon Bursitis"
Painful inflammation with swelling redness on the bursa at the forearm bone protrusion "Olecranon".
  • Tendonitis
Elbow tendons may develop tendonitis. In particular, the biceps tendon (in front of the joint) or the triceps tendon (in the back of the joint) are affected
  • Cubital Tunnel Syndrome (Sulcus Ulnaris Syndrome, Ulnar Disease Syndrome)
The second most common nerve compression syndrome. In doing so, the ulnar nerve (ulnar nerve) is damaged in its course on the inside of the elbow and upper forearm. Cubital tunnel syndrome can occur with sharp pains along the forearm and numbness and tingling in the fingers.
  • Radial tunnel syndrome
Radial tunnel syndrome is a rare disease caused by compression of the radial nerve. The symptoms of radial tunnel syndrome are very similar to the symptoms of the tennis elbow
  • Fractures of the elbow
